Cofoundrii
+For non-technical founders building hardware

The engineering team your startup hasn't hired yet.

You've got the idea, the market, and the drive. What you don't have is an engineer who can tell you whether it can be built — and then actually build it. That's us. From napkin sketch to working prototype.

01 / The problem

You have a product idea. You don't have an engineering team.

So you're stuck with questions no founder should have to answer alone.

We built Cofoundrii for exactly this moment — before you can afford a full-time engineering hire, and exactly when you need one most.

01
“Can this even be built?”
You can picture the product. You have no way to know if it’s physically possible, or what it’ll take.
02
“What will it cost to make?”
Without a real engineer, every cost estimate is a guess — and investors can smell a guess.
03
“Freelancer or a big firm?”
Freelancers leave you to be the project manager. Big firms won’t take a pre-seed founder seriously.
04
“Will I get burned?”
You’re about to spend real money on something you can’t evaluate. That’s terrifying. It should be.
02 / What we do

From napkin sketch to a product you can hold.

Hardware is hard because it's a chain: an idea has to survive engineering reality, turn into manufacturable CAD, pass analysis, and become a physical thing that actually works. Break any link and the product never ships.

We own the whole chain. One team, end to end — so you're never stitching together a CAD person, an analysis person, and a prototyper who've never spoken to each other.

03 / Services

Start small. Scale as you go.

Most founders start with a Feasibility Sprint, then move into a full build once they know it's real. Pick the entry point that fits where you are.

01
Start here · 1–2 weeks · fixed fee
Feasibility Sprint
Can this be built, how, and what will it cost to make? A fixed-price, fixed-timeline answer before you commit a rupee to the full build. You get a decision-ready feasibility report, a rough bill of materials, a manufacturing approach, a cost-and-risk assessment, and concept sketches.
The digital product
Concept → CAD
We take a validated idea to a complete, manufacturable design: industrial design and aesthetics, full CAD, engineering analysis to prove it holds up, and photoreal renders you can put in a pitch deck.
The physical product
Prototype
Everything in Concept → CAD, plus a working physical prototype, a design-for-manufacturing review, and basic testing. The thing you can hold, demo to investors, and put in front of customers.
Ongoing · monthly retainer
Fractional Engineering Team
Your engineering co-founder, on contract. Continuous iteration, vendor and manufacturer management, and the handoff to production — for founders who need an engineering team in the building without hiring one.

Not sure which fits? The feasibility call sorts that out in 20 minutes, free.

04 / How it works

How a Feasibility Sprint works

01
Kickoff call
You tell us the idea, the user, and what “done” looks like. No engineering vocabulary required — explaining it is our job, not yours.
02
We engineer-assess it
We pressure-test feasibility, sketch concepts, rough out a bill of materials, and map how it would actually get made and what it would cost.
03
Readout & roadmap
You get a plain-English report and a walkthrough call. By the end you know: is this real, what does it cost to build, and what happens next.
Whatever you spend on the Sprint comes off the price of the full build if you continue.
05 / Why us

Why founders pick us over a freelancer or a big firm.

Freelance platforms
leave you — a non-technical founder — to act as the technical project manager, integrating people who’ve never worked together. You can’t, because you’re not technical. That’s the whole point.
Big design firms
run six-figure engagements, move slowly, and treat a pre-seed founder as a rounding error.
Cofoundrii
is built for your stage: one accountable team, senior attention, fixed-price to start, and engineers who can talk to you like a human. We’re the translation layer between founder and factory.
Big firms won't take you seriously. Freelancers can't take you the whole way. We're built for exactly where you are.
06 / About

Three engineers. One job: get your product built.

We're a small, senior team that does the whole chain in-house — which is exactly why nothing falls through the cracks.

07 / FAQ

Questions every founder asks us.

That’s the entire point of the Feasibility Sprint. You’ll have a clear, honest answer — and if it can’t be built as imagined, we’ll tell you what can, before you’ve spent on a full build.
You start with a fixed-fee Sprint, so there’s no open-ended bill. You know the cost before you say yes, and Sprint spend comes off the full build if you continue.
Everything is scoped and priced in writing before we start. You own the IP once you’ve paid. No surprise invoices, no mystery scope.
That’s who we’re built for. Translating engineering into plain English is our job, not yours. If you can describe the product, we can take it from there.
Yes, always, before you share anything sensitive.
